How does the the CEO'S Personality affect the whole ADM@RT development...
Jim Lai, the founder of the ADM@RT, is Hongkong’s most flamboyant, outspoken, irrelevant and radical businessman.
His personality is too radical to run this new business model.
The company’s goal was to make “30000 deliveries a day from a
Customer base of up to a half-million people—about 7.4% Hongkong’s population.” Six month after it was launched, the firm planned to have”120 shops, 25warehouses, 448vechiles and more than 3000 employees.”
All those goals were very radical and the operation figures had not been carefully calculated.
Jim Lai admitted that the company has significant troubles in the start-up period, but he was over-confident that he would build an Internet empire that would provide news, entertainment, shopping and other services to Chinese people around the world.

Admitted, the idea of adm@rt is very sagacious. However, Lai was the first person to eat crab, there were some problems he faced.
1)didn`t make a detail and appropriate plan to support his creative idea. Like IT, logisitics problems.
2)Lai wanted to sell all products in his adm@rt, failed to lock key customer in the market positioning.
3)Low price strategy made adm@rt small profit margin also, though adm@rt wanted to beat its rivals by low price strategy.

A strong personal color into the company culture and operation will affect the company's development, performance of individual political sensitivity and personal decisions in two aspects.Jim Lai took detailed management of corporate affairs, and keep very strong personal color penetrated into every corner of the company, which for any business is a fatal errorzhaoruiwen wrote:Jim Lai, the founder of the ADM@RT, is Hongkong’s most flamboyant, outspoken, irrelevant and radical businessman.

strong person color is key force to push the company
Steve Jobs make the APP like him. When Bill Gates took the role of CEO, Microsoft was just like Bill Gates, smart, enegetic, tough, ruthless.
Normally, in business area, who is the boss and what is the company. The same rule can be copied to prefessional career. Who is the direct boss, you can predict his/her surbodinates and vise versa.

Then how to maintain an innovative culture in a company in a long way?
I agree that CEO's personalities will affect the culture of each company significantly. But finally Job was not Apple's CEO anymore, and the same to Bill Gates in Microsoft. So when these innovative gurus left, how these company maintain its innovative culture?

Every coin has two sides
Like the old saying goes, " Every coin has two sides".
Jim Lai' aggressiveness and confidence make him from nobody to one of the most successful businessman in Hongkong. But he also pay the price for his arrogance. The personality of the CEO will affect the culture of the company for sure, especially the CEO wil strong personality. This will affect the management team first and pass to all the employee.

without personality without feature
In modern society, you are very difficult to remember some people who do not have personalities. In phycological knowledge, peronality is one part of people and it affects people's attention, interpretation of the received information, so some personalities help people to make decisions in difficult situations. To be a good CEO (above normal) is to get speical achivements. I do not have seen such a good CEO who do not have obvious perosnalities till now. Especially, as a fonding CEO, if he did not obvious personalities, it were very difficult for him collect resources and people's trust.
