How can we know unknown things?

Professor mentioned a lot of times in his course that people should pay more attention to unknown things? But how? Sometimes we don't know what we don't know and how to identify what we should know. To be more caustious is necessary. Besides, any other specific ideas to handle unkown things?

You can list down potential issues you may suffer during practice.
And ask yourself how to solve these problems. Before you persuade yourself, just keep your investment remaining small. Do some investigation in advance, although it is hard sometimes.

When you know something, you will also know that there are something that you dont know. The more you know, the more you know you dont know. The reason Professor Ali asked us to pay more attention to the unknow things, I think, is push us to think more about these "unknow" things. This will help us to learn and to know these "unknow" things.

I think there is a way to know the "unknow" things which is communicate with classmates

There are two kinds of "unknown". One is the unknow to the world not existing. Another is the unknow to the development and area unfamiliar but existing. I think most of the time when we talk about the "unknown", it refer to the future and the area unfamiliar. So, to visualize and to think base on our experience and common sense can guide us to these unknow.

From the day we were born, we have started to learn unknown things. I think the point of the professor's topic is not about how to know unknown things, but about how to keep a correct attitude of learning things.

"stay hungry, stay foolish" is the best spirit for a human to explore one's "unknow" area I think.

I think one way is to make more friends with different backgrounds or from different industries and learn from them. And reading more books about history, creature and evolutionism will also be helpful. Do you think so?

About 500 years ago, Wang Yangming(王阳明)，the most eximious ideologist initiate "XIN XUE"(心学)，the core
ideology of which is doctrine of knowing and doing（知行合一）.
In the last hundred years, academicians all over the world payed a great attention on the doctrine of knowing and doing. why? He had told us how to know unknown things, and how to analyse and solve problems.
But unfortunately, we all foget to learn to them.

Good concern. always easy to say but not easy to do. think we have to open mind to embrace new things, not only new idea, but also try something you never do before.

Keep practising is also a good way to know unknown things.

Keep learning, keep listening from others and keep practice to get experience. Try to know more, be reminding that there is still unknown things and don't forget to design the emergent plan for risk preventing.
