I think Mr. Lai's initial business idea of e-commerce is right. E-commerce can provide values to the consumers by offering convenience and lower-price products. People can place an order through Internet without coming to the real shops, which could save time and avoid travel cost for some customers hating shopping. Without paying the rental for displaying the goods, the on-line stores like adM@rt could sell the goods at relatively lower price. The two important core values or demand drives are enough for e-commerce companies to attract customers and make profit in the busy metropolitan cities like Hongkong and Shanghai.
